E-Shram Card Update – Recently, there has been an update from the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India regarding the insurance of Rs 2 lakh found in Hall’s e-Shram Card. The update states that the insurance of Rs 2 lakh received for making an e-Shram card will not be given to every e-Shram cardholder. So let’s find out, which people will be insured for 2 lakh rupees and which people will not be insured for 2 lakh rupees.
Rs 2 Lakh Insurance is available for making the e-Shram card
You will get many benefits by making this card. And while making it, you are also given 2 lakh accident insurance. If you die due to an accident, your nominee will be paid Rs 2 lakh, or if you have a disability due to an accident, you will be paid Rs 1 lakh in that case.
Rs 2 lakh is deducted instead of insurance, Rs 12
The e-Shram Card and the Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme are both interrelated, which is why 2 lakh insurance is provided for the creation of the e-Shram Card. To avail of the Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme, Rs 12 is deducted from the bank every year, but the first installment of the first year will be provided by the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Government of India for making an e-Shram Card. After the remaining one year, you will have to pay Rs 12 per annum from the bank to avail of the Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme (MPSBY).
Where to submit an insurance claim on the e-Shram card
If the e-shram cardholder’s accident leads to death or disability in the body. And if he wants to make an insurance claim, the nominee or family member can go to the E shram Portal / CSC or his own bank with the relevant documents and submit the insurance claim from there.
These people will not get 2 lakh insurance for making e-shram card
These cards can be made by people between the ages of 16 and 59, but e-Shram cardholders between the ages of 16 and 18 are not offered any benefits. According to the rules of the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Government of India, those under the age of 18 will not be given the benefit of the Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme. Due to this such cardholders who are below 18 years of age, will not be paid Rs 2 lakh for their insurance scheme!
